- Graduation in Mathematics/Statistics
- B-Math (Bachelor of Mathematics) or B-Stat (Bachelor of Statistics)

Note for recent pass-outs: If you completed your degree in the last six months, you can still apply. No NOC from college is needed for pass-outs.
Students in pre-final or final year can also apply, but they may need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their college.
Duration of Internship
- Minimum: 6 weeks
- Maximum: 12 months
- But preference is given to students who can stay for at least 6 months.
If you complete the full period, you will get an experience certificate. If not, no certificate will be given.
Stipend – How Much Money Will You Get?
UIDAI pays a good monthly stipend. The amount depends on your qualification and field (as per official Internship Policy 2025):
- Graduate in Technical fields (B.Tech/BE/B.Des etc.): ₹30,000 per month
- Post Graduate in Technical fields (M.Tech/M.Des etc.): ₹40,000 per month
- Graduate in Other fields (like B-Math/B-Stat): ₹20,000 per month
- Post Graduate in Other fields (like M-Math/M-Stat): ₹30,000 per month
You get stipend only if your supervisor gives a satisfactory report. PhD students may get gap funding if they already have a fellowship.

Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) – Chance to Get a Job

If you do internship in technical fields for 4 months or more and score average 75 or above in your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), you can appear for Pre-Placement Assessment Test (PAT).
Final selection for PPO is based on 50% PAT score + 50% internship performance.
If selected, you can join as Software Developer at NISG (under UIDAI) with starting CTC of ₹12 lakh per annum. After 24 months of good performance, you may become Young Professional.
